Christmas

I wanted to try my hand at making a pinwheel and this is what I came up with. I loved adding a bit of the christmas spirit to it. Now the bird house was a challenge to work on with all the different angles. I was constantly recutting my paper to fit properly. The roof is cardstock using A Martha Stewart punch that I continued to over lap until it filled up the rough. I added some cute little birds that I picked up from Michaels, christmas decor to give it a festive look and some gauze for the snow.

I joined a private swap with six other ladies to make Christmas cards for each other and I decided to use small lunch bags to make mine. You just fold the bags in half, add some chipboard to the front and back for stability and decorate to your hearts content. The first bag showing is with the smaller bags but the rest of the bags are the larger lunch bags. I love the purple. It's a nice change from your typical Christmas colors. I really enjoyed doing the christmas swap and received some beautiful cards in return.

This is the inside of my card. Notice how it opens so that you can decorate each side of the card. There is also an opening from the bag itself that you can add tags to. This was such fun to make.

Hope you enjoyed browsing thru my cards as much as I enjoyed making them. And I hope everyone has a wonderful Holiday Season.
